This lovely home was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today.
It is located approximately 50kms from Stratford and 10km west of Whangamomona. The house is visible from Forgotten World Highway SH 43. Mill House is also pet friendly and comes with a resident cat. If cat's aren't your thing, she is happy to camp outside.
