The Cottage is tucked away down a long drive. It's exactly four minutes drive to Carterton shopping area and four minutes the other way to Greytown. There are special things on every day in the Wairarapa, its a vibrant area and only an hour from Wellington city should you want to head to the bright lights. The train service both North and South is great, you don't have to drive if you would prefer not to. We also have some stunning Coastline, Light houses, seals lying around on the rocks and whitebait fritters at Lake Ferry.
Our Cottage is not posh or fancy, however, its got everything you need with Sky TV, great wine glasses, good linen, heaps of books with a reading nook, warmth and plenty of light. We have tried to get that "charming" feeling with a mixture of old and new. Yes we do have jigsaws if it rains. There is plenty of room to park, a semi rural outlook with a pony or two in the paddock next door. We have an acre of land for the kids to run around on.
The Cottage has a deck, just right for sitting on in the evenings, glass of wine in hand and views to the hills. We would love to be able to make our place your favourite "go to" for all your holidays and short breaks.
