This bach is just a 2minute walk to Red Beach beach and a thirty minute drive from the Auckland Harbour Bridge heading North.
Capturing the spirit of life in the 50's and 60's this cosy bach in Pinewoods Motor Camp is a great spot to wind down .
PLEASE NOTE
As from January 2022 till further notice it is unsuitable for children, due to a delay in the completion of building a balcony off the front door area. (Back deck seen in the photos is still there.)
A short walk from the bach down a lovely bush lined path you come to the beach which gets its name from the red shells you see as the tide goes out.The beach offers safe swimming and is patrolled in Summer and some public holidays. The camp is on a beautiful little promontory which has a second beach facing Orewa and a rocky cove for deep swimming when the tide is in.
The camp offers many summer activities one being outdoor movies on 'the Green'.There is a small library, internet facilities, gym, movie room, children's' playground , and a pay laundry.
The Surf Club has an excellent restaurant open on Thursday, Friday nights and Sunday mornings for breakfast.
Red Beach shops are only a 15 minute walk or quick drive away. Or, drive 10minutes to the nearby shopping centres of Silverdale, Orewa and Whangaparoa.
This is much loved little bach and has been in the family for sixty four years providing many enjoyable and memorable summer holidays .
Deck chairs,barbecue, sun umbrella are available for the deck.
The bach is most suitable for a couple of adults who don't mind single beds and enjoy reading, dreaming and conversation.
PLEASE NOTE
The Bach recently had a bay window addition which is still unlined. It also is awaiting a small front balcony so the French doors cannot be used.
Special conditions:
Guests must check in at the camp Office to register, collect key, gate entry swipe card and directions to the bach.Parking is on the grass on left of grassed area.
No one under 22yrs may rent the bach.(Camp rule)
Camp laundry and internet available for use. Charges apply.Best to take your own mobile device with data.
Linen packs available at extra charge from the camp office.
No smoking within bach.
When vacating - Power to be turned off, fridge defrosted, wiped out and door left open.Rubbish and food removed. Report any problems to manager.
Wheel gas barbecue out to deck on arrival.Clean and wheel inside when you leave.
