This modern, comfortable and well-equipped cottage is centrally located in a very peaceful cul-de-sac, away from the crowds and yet close to everything there is to do and see in Tairua. Two minutes drive to Tairua Beach (14 minutes walk). Ten mins walk to all the shops and restaurants/cafes.
Ideal for 1 or 2 couples wanting a quiet, relaxing break with everything at hand.
Just a 10 minute leisurely stroll brings you to a great selection of shops and amenities: Supermarket / Pharmacy / Gift Shops / Book Shop / Wine Store / Video and DVD store / Petrol Station and Service Garage / Day Spa and Beauty Salon / Library with Internet access to name a few.
There are, of course, also several great cafes / restaurants / wine bars / takeaways.
The Honey Shed, our very local cafe, is only 2 mins walk from the Cottage (great food..!!) and The Landing, Manaia, Punters and and other restaurants/cafes are also all close by (10mins stroll).
The stunning Ocean Beach, with its great surfing and swimming, is only 1.2 km away or, if you prefer to swim in calmer waters, Tairua Harbour is less than 5 minutes walk, with great swimming holes located at the stream end of the estuary.
There is an 18 hole golf course 400 m away with bowling and croquet greens at the same location. For the more energetic, public tennis courts are also nearby. There is, of course, excellent fishing and diving close by and also all around the Coromandel Peninsula. Explore the many walkways that Tairua has to offer or, in the summer, hop on the ferry to Pauanui’s beautiful beach. A climb (or drive/climb) to the top of Mount Paku offers incredible Coromandel views.
Both bedrooms, with large built-in wardrobes and shelves overlook the quiet secluded rear garden. The open-plan kitchen / dining / living area flows out to the sunny deck with BBQ.
There is a 40" LED TV with SKY Entertainment package, a DVD player, and a small library and games should the weather become inclement. As the Cottage is located in an area populated by mostly retired folk, it is not really suitable loud music/parties.
