Reelhaus Retreat | Villa in Okiato
1 Bedroom Villa in Okiato
ReelHaus is a newly built, stand-alone architectural retreat offering privacy, a peaceful setting and bush-framed views across Veronica Channel to Opua and the marina. Soak beneath the stars in the private outdoor stone bath, unwind beside the wood-burning fire, and enjoy a couple’s escape just 8 minutes from historic Russell—the ideal base to explore the Bay of Islands
ReelHaus’s architecture was purposefully designed for the senses, with every element working together—from warm timber interiors and natural materials to carefully layered lighting, birdsong and ever-changing views across Veronica Channel—to create a calm and welcoming haven.
Newly built, ReelHaus blends contemporary comfort with handcrafted artwork and carefully considered details to create a peaceful escape inspired by the Bay of Islands.
Wake to birdsong, enjoy breakfast overlooking Veronica Channel as ferries and yachts quietly pass by, then spend your day exploring beaches, wineries, coastal walks and historic Russell—or simply stay exactly where you are.
As evening falls, light the wood-burning fire or step outside to the private outdoor stone bath. Nestled within its own private garden, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring, enjoy a peaceful morning soak, or relax beneath a sky full of stars.
Throughout ReelHaus you’ll discover discreet QR codes sharing the stories behind the artwork, local history and our favourite places to eat, drink and explore, adding another layer to your stay.
