A perfect location for anyone who wants to make some very special 'kiwi' memories or couples who just want to get away from it all. Less than a minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes stroll to the local village. Oakura offers cafes, hotel, grocery store,petrol station, hairdresser, beauty outlet, gift shops, fish and chip shop,pharmacy,golf course, tennis courts,surfing lessons. There are also plenty of short walking tracks around the village.
Guests will find themselves in a fully equipped and self contained bach with; electric blankets, heaters, washing machine, BBQ, dryer, Sky TV, high chair, portable cot, private access and off street parking, boogie boards and sporting gear are also included for anyone wanting a bit of extra fun down on the beach. In respects to the beds, guests will enjoy two beds; one double bed and one queen sized bed both outfitted with quality linen.
Although we live in the house above the bach we aim to give our guests plenty of privacy and space to enjoy ‘Tara’dise (as we call it) so you wont be seeing us during you stay. However if you do have questions or need help we're always happy to help with advice, planning etc
New Plymouth Airport is less than half an hour drive away, shuttles can be organised to and from airport on request. Your own transport for getting around the area is recommended but for people without their own vehicle a city bus service travels 3 or 4 times a day between Oakura and New Plymouth.
