'The Outcrops Lodge' is situated amongst the rugged North Waikato hills the lodge offers guests a private and restful escape from all the hustle and bustle of busy, daily life.
The lodge has all the comforts of home plus those added extras to help you truly enjoy your stay.
Soak up the surroundings from the outside hot tub or relax by the outdoor fire with a glass of wine.
The space is perfect for couples nights, family getaways, weekend catch ups with friends or even retreats and workshops.
The space
The Outcrops Lodge is at the heart of a family run sheep and beef farm with owners Steven and Kim Kitchener at the helm.
The original farm was purchased in 2014 and in June 2022 Steve and Kim purchased the neighbouring farm to join the two blocks together. Both are deeply fond of the property and its breathtaking views and decided it was simply too lovely not to share with others.
We have an exclusive hunting block on the property where tailored hunting packages can be organised through 'Adventure Hunting'.
The lodge sleeps 1 - 9 people and encompasses 4 bedrooms, separate toilet and bath/shower, full kitchen and laundry, open plan living and a separate dining area. If your group is larger than nine, we have additional accommodation for 2 more people in our self contained 'Annex' which adjoins the main lodge. Please speak with Kim direct if you wish to add the annex to your booking.
Continental breakfast provisions are complimentary. Free range eggs, fresh bread, muesli, Lewis Road Creamery Organic Milk and butter as well as fruit and preserves (seasons dependent).
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided as well as a Nespresso machine and capsules. Home baked cookies and other sweet treats.
A fully equipped kitchen so you can self-cater. Alternatively, we can organise a chef for your stay if this is something of interest. Additional charges will apply.
Our open plan dining and lounge area allows for everyone to feel included at all times. A log burner creates a wonderfully warm and cozy atmosphere, especially nice during those cooler months. Kindling/fire starters and firewood are provided and topped up during your stay. Apple TV is available for guests, use our login or connect to your own apps.
Guest access
Guests will have exclusive and private use of the lodge and garden during their stay. It is fenced and there is also a house gate which can be kept closed to keep the area fully contained. Plenty of on site parking.
Other things to note
If you wish to use the lodge for retreats or workshops please discuss your requirements with Kim direct. Parties are also not permitted however if you wish to hold a small gathering on the property please discuss this with Kim prior to any booking.
Cellphone reception can be patchy but connection can be found on veranda. Wifi is available throughout the main lodge.
This 4 Bedrooms House provides accommodation with TV, Bedding/Linens, Wellness Facilities, for your convenience.
