701 Pukehina is located at the north end of Pukehina diagonally opposite the boat ramp and playground. It has extensive uninterrupted view of the white sandy beach of Pukehina of the north facing beach front side and stunning estuary views on the opposing road front side.
The house was renovated and rebuilt in 2022. It is a 2 storied, split level house that has 3 levels.
Entry through the fluted glass front door brings you to the main level which comprises of a spacious open plan living areas include the dining and kitchen.
This level also hosts a spacious master bedroom overlooking the ocean with a super king size bed, ensuite with shower and bath, and a WIR. The main bathroom, and laundry are also on this level. The living area boasts a large 65" smart TV, a gas glass sided fire and window seat. The dining table extends out to seat 10 people.
Up another 3 stairs to the split level is another king bedroom with ensuite, with magnificent sweeping views overlooking the estuary. There is another king bedroom which opens out onto the deck which also overlooks the estuary. There is also a functional office space on this level along with a peaceful window seat looking out to sea.
Downstairs is the basement area includes a queen bedroom, another open plan living area with a 55" TV, a set of single bunks and a double sofa bed. There is also a small shower and toilet room, which is fully functional but yet to be renovated to the standard of the rest of the house
There are many outdoor areas in which to relax, enjoy the company of friends and family or to find a secluded spot to simply to have some time to yourself and read a book.
There are 5 outdoor areas. The main area is the outdoor room which flows seamlessly from the dining room. It includes a large Devon round table, outdoor lounge suite, wood fire and BBQ. This room is semi enclosed with another set of ranch-sliders, which is invaluable when the weather gods aren't playing ball.
The second area is up on the beachfront deck which overlooks the beach and seats a large number of people, under a white sail for shade.
Behind this is the third area which boasts an outdoor bath, fantastic for washing down and warming up little ones when they come up from the beach. The extensive decks also provide room for the outdoor lounger and bean bags supplied and shelter is provided by the large Shade 7 counter-levered umbrella.
The fourth area is our outdoor nook, designed for one or two people to escape for some quiet time, with an outdoor day bed.
And finally the last area is the deck over-looking the estuary, which is favoured for evening cocktails watching the sun go down to provide the magnificent sunsets that Pukehina is famous for. This deck has a 6 seater kwila table and chairs, and a Weber Baby Q BBQ.
This home has been redesigned to be wheel chair friendly. The main level has been designed to enable a wheelchair to move from room to room and out to the decks seamlessly thanks to the recessed flush ranch-sliders installed. There is also a timber ramp from the grassed front lawn up to the main level.
This home is perfect for the extended family or group of friends. It is not a party house but a well thought out modern home for family and friends.
