Positive: Idyllic Country Garden was very well located for lovely Waikanae Beach and Queen Elizabeth Park and the delightful Kapiti Coast. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, the outside terrace and barbecue were good and there was a very well equipped kitchen for all our self catering needs. The inside seating area was comfortable as well.

Negative: As it was hot weather, the lack of air conditioning impacted adversely on our stay and the electric fan provided had little impact. We selected the property because we were hoping for tranquility. Unfortunately, the neighbours on the 2nd evening of our stay were very noisy and in addition had heavy machinery operating until well after dark.

Summary: Not as peaceful as hoped
