Cafés, restaurants and shops are close by, and the lakefront and thermal attractions are only a little further.
Getting Around:
The Redwoods entrance is a quick ride from the door, so bring the bikes. A car is easiest for getting further afield, with a separate double garage and off-street parking (taxis and rideshares are also readily available). By car, Blue Lake (Tikitapu) is about 6 minutes away, the city centre around 10, and Rotorua Airport roughly 11. The Green Lake, Lake Ōkāreka and Lake Tarawera are all a short drive on.
