Listen to the seagulls as you fall asleep in our glamping "Boatshed cabin". Situated on a sunny elevated spot, with an outside view of the Kakanui River and a tree filled outlook to the mountains. 14mins to Oamaru and its wonderful historic precinct, Opera house, penguin viewing, cafes/restaurants, Alps to Ocean and Waitaki geopark. Our cabin is tiny but large in character. It contains a sofa converted to a comfy double bed. 2 seater couch and bar leaner. It has a basic cooking area with an electric hob with 2 elements, microwave, toaster and jug. It also has a fridge/freezer and kitchen table. Wow!! We squeezed a lot in. This is all located in the 1 room. Cutlery, crockery, pots and pans are supplied plus an outside gas BBQ. Or grab a takeaway from Oamaru. PLEASE NOTE we use an OUTSIDE portaloo and shower. Towels, linen and bedding are provided. As a glamping experience we provide a water container for drinking, cooking and washing dishes. Our cosy little boatshed has a heater to keep you warm and four skylights to let in the sun, ( no windows, yet), lovely views and sunshine when you open the double front doors on a nice day. Yes we have WIFI - no TV. (some good books instead) Enjoy some interesting walks around the village, beach and Kakanui river right across the road. Have FUN!!
