Mountain Lake Retreat at Lake Cherokee | House in Tamassee
3 Bedroom House in Tamassee
Both Lake Cherokee and this charming home are truly hidden gems of Upstate South Carolina. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of larger lakes in the area, the waters of Cherokee are only accessible via private residences and borders Sumter National Forest. This property offers a number of ways to enjoy your 300 feet of Lake Cherokee waterfront: fish from one of our two docks (no liscense required!); enjoy mountain views from the water on the provided canoe, kayak, or paddle board via the boat ramp or boathouse dock; watch a sunset from one of the yard swings overlooking the water; or savor a meal from the back deck only 20 feet from the water's edge. Your relaxing experience will continue when you step indoors. Mountain Lake Retreat interior has been fully renovated and offers beautiful views of the lake from all bedrooms, the living room, and the screened in porch. The open floor plan and vaulted ceilings make this spacious home feel even larger, with numerous windows filling the space with natural light. Hardwood floors can be found throughout the home, and the kitchen boasts both granite counter tops and stainless appliances. Freshen up in either of our two bathrooms (one with a walk-in shower and one with a tub/shower combo), and turn in for the night in one of the three bedrooms (two with queen beds and one with two twin beds). This home and the surrounding area offer no shortage of ways to explore and relax including:
Lounging in the swing bed on the large screened in porch.
Building a fire in the fire pit next to the lake.
Driving and/or hiking to one of the many waterfalls in the area.
